Watch IPL 3 2010 Grand Opening ceremoney Highlights video online, According to data provided by television ratings agency aMap, the match on SET Max clocked a 3.8 rating, which is same as that of IPL-1, implying that the number of viewers tuning in to see the match hasn’t increased since 2008.The IPL-3 rating is also a marginal increase from IPL-2’s day-one ratings of 3.1 (Chennai SuperKings v/s Mumbai Indians)and 3.3 (Royal Challengers v/s Rajasthan Royals) respectively. IPL-2 held two matches on the first day as the twenty20 league was shifted to South Africa. However, as per the data for the six metros—Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad—the ratings show a 22% increase to 4.3 over last year’s 3.5 rating (for both matches Chennai SuperKings v/s Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers v/s Rajasthan Royals). But the ratings are just 4% higher than IPL-1’s first match (4.1) played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers.
“aMap data is not official, therefore we won’t comment on it,” said Rohit Gupta, president of Multi Screen Media, the company that owns SET Max. “We will wait for the TAM data to release.”

Meanwhile, cinema theatre owners are cheering the coming of IPL. Multiplex owners say IPL matches will pull in crowds during weekdays. “If this pace of enthusiasm continues, then our business can gross over Rs 50 crore after the tournament,” said Sanjay Gaikwad, MD of UFO Moviez, the company that beams the matches for multiplexes exclusively. “The response to the first match alone can fetch us a sizeable amount. Its a great beginning.”
Google, which partnered with IPL to stream live matches on its video portal, YouTube, too is upbeat with the response. “The IPL channel views (on YouTube) have tripled since March 12. The total channel views as on March 13 is over 1 million from 8 lakh views on March 12 and 2 lakh on March 11,” said a Google spokesperson, adding that the number of users subscribing to the IPL channel on YouTube has also risen from 10,000 on March 11, to almost 40,000 on March 13.

arshad warsi charged 3 crores for golmaal 3, Arshad Warsi has finally agreed to do ‘Golmaal 3’ after the producers agreed to pay him a whopping Rs.3 crore to be part of the film, sources said.
Director Rohit Shetty said Arshad was on for the project, but the actor did not confirm his consent for the film.

Sources said the deal was finally cut Monday, after frantic negotiations. Arshad’s fee is higher than each member of the cast, barring Ajay Devgn. It is even higher than that of Kareena Kapoor who has a three-film deal withthe producers.

Says a source: “After ‘Ishqiya‘, Arshad was adamant on his fee. The producers (Ashtavinayak) tried to convince him to take a much smaller fee, arguing that his co-stars Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu (who replaces Sharman Joshi) were accepting a far smaller fee and if Arshad was paid three crore, the others would feel short-changed.”

But Arshad stuck to his guns. Earlier reports said the actor, now hot at the box office after ‘Ishqiya’, did not like the script of ‘Golmaal 3’.

Rohit Shetty says: “We were really keen to have him in the film. And yes, the price has been worked out between Arshad and the producers. So he’s on.”

Strangely, though Rohit confirmed Arshad’s presence in ‘Golmaal 3’, Arshad was still in denial.

“I am not sure yet. They’ve been after me for some time now. But I’m not able to make up my mind. I need to give time to my own production ‘Hum Tum Aur Ghost’. So I don’t know how I’ll manage the dates,” he said.

Sharman Joshi, who was part of the earlier two movies of the ‘Golmaal’ series, had reportedly asked for Rs2.5 crore. He turned down the third part through his secretary.

Says Rohit Shetty: “Even before the scripting of ‘Golmaal 3’, Sharman sent me a message through his secretary, saying he had other plans. I immediately looked for a replacement and am very happy with Kunal Khemu.”

Sanjay Dutt gets a new life as the Supreme Court has declared him free of terror charges filed against him in the 1993 Mumbai serial terror bombing. Sanjay Dutt’s name did not come in the list of 50 other accused whose involvement in the terror attack has been challenged by the CBI.

He is free of the 50 lawsuits. Dutt has already served jail for six years for possessing illegal weapons in the 1993 terror attack. Challenging his conviction, Sanjay has moved his case to the apex court and he is presently out on bail. The CBI freed Sanjay from all the acquittal but earlier it has rejected to suspend his conviction in the Arms Act case when he was eager to fight the 2009 general election .

This critical decision had to be taken after the producer saw a constant inflow of pictures and information of his film Anjaana Anjaani being put up on Twitter. So he took a bold step and asked both Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor to stop tweeting.

Both the stars are active on micro-blogging site especially Piggy Chops.

Confirming the news, Sajid told a daily, “I actually took the decision to forbid my cast and crew from putting any information on websites after an incident that happened with Sajid Khan, my director of ‘Housefull’.

We were doing a photo-session with the film’s stars. We weren’t even finished and Sajid Khan had already put one of the pictures on the site. I was horrified. That’s when I decided it was time to make the confidentiality clause a legal issue in all my contracts.”

Regretting the lack of privacy among stars, Sajid further added, “I remember when my father produced JP Dutta’s Ghulami, we’d stand outside Dharmendra’s van for hours waiting for him to emerge so we could see what he wore, how he styled his hair, what watch he had on, etc.

Today the stars volunteer all this information on the social networks even before the director takes his first shot. I think all of us need to make confidentiality compulsory for every film.”
